Our Vision

An effective Christlike mentor for every pastor

The Get There Pastor’s
Scholarship Fund

The Fund’s Purpose:

The purpose of The Get There Pastor’s Scholarship Fund is
to grant travel assistance for pastors from the majority world,
to attend strategic training events designed to multiply Trainers of Pastors.
These pastors can either be presenters or participants.

The Immediate Context

The GProCongress II (https://www.gprocongress.org/) is a collaboration of three streams of training designed to advance the equipping and empowering of pastors and pastoral trainers. The immediate result will be a major advance in the quality and quantity of trainers of pastors who will reproduce more pastor-trainers, stimulating a major advance of God’s Kingdom worldwide.

The Plan

Here are some features of the plan and the Congress:

1. The purpose of the Congress

The purpose of the Congress is to rapidly increase the quality and quantity of Pastor Trainers. This will impact the health of pastors and churches. Healthy pastors will result in healthy churches and impact society.

2. Globally, pastors are trained through three strategies

formal institutions / schools, non-formal training seminars and programs, and informal relational mentoring.

3. Three main strategies

One of the three main strategies for developing more pastoral trainers will be featured daily: formal, non-formal, and informal mentoring.

4. The integration of the informal mentoring component

The integration of the informal mentoring component will be highlighted and discussed as a significant element that needs greater emphasis.

5. Informal mentoring aspect

The Informal mentoring aspect refers to intentional, personal mentoring, both one-to-one and in small groups. (This is a life-long need for pastors to have in their regular schedule.)

6. The nature and power of informal mentoring

The nature and power of informal mentoring will be demonstrated and engaged in during the Congress and following by putting together mentor groups of 4-6 people (one experienced mentor with 4-6 mentees).

7. Mentor Groups

These mentor groups will meet three times during the Congress and four times virtually in the following year so people can experience mentoring relationships that are relational, intentional, and accountable.

8. Mentor Groups Languages

The groups will be gender specific and offered in four languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French, and English

The Challenge

1- The Pastor Mentoring International Network (PMIN) was formed by MentorLink International and several other similar networks and has accepted the challenge to plan and produce the one day at the Congress in which informal mentoring is explained and emphasized.

2- In addition, PMIN, will conduct mentor training for 60 mentor groups of 4-6 people in each mentor group. This will permeate the entire Congress and rapidly spread throughout the world.

3- PMIN has accepted the challenge to recruit and train 60 mentors to facilitate groups so that a total of 300 people will be engaged and deployed. Each person will be required to complete an application which demonstrates their present involvement in pastoral training.

3- Subsequent to the Congress, PMIN will continue follow-up and hold regional and virtual Gatherings to further build a global mentoring movement among pastors to increase the quality and quantity of Christlike pastors and trainers of pastors. Travel scholarships will be needed. This is a 7-10 year vision.

The Specific Need

Dr. Stacy Rinehart, Founder of MentorLink International, has been tasked to lead the PMIN team who will recruit, screen and train the mentors before the Congress begins, encourage them during the Congress, and support them after the Congress.

The cost to attend the Congress is approximately $300-1100 USD (depending on the country or origin) for the hotel and meals for the week. The airline ticket is an additional expense.

Most of the required mentors will come from outside the western countries of North American and Europe. They do not have sufficient funds for their flights to come without our assistance. The GProCongress team will provide a significant scholarship for the hotel and food expenses for those coming from non-western countries. PMIN seeks travel scholarship funds to help them ‘Get There’.

The Immediate Goal

We are asking God to raise at least $60,000, so that mentors we recruit from the majority world who need it, can receive a travel scholarship to help them Get There.

Will you give generously to The Get There Pastor’s Scholarship Fund?

You will be investing in pastor-trainers who will multiply themselves many times over. They will have a long-term global impact in developing pastors to lead groups of believers who will advance His Kingdom as Jesus commissioned us to do.
